SDL PLC ANNOUNCES BOARD CHANGE

SDL plc, the leader in the emerging market for Global Information Management ("GIM") solutions, today confirmed that Mr. Alastair Gordon, Executive Director, has stepped down from the Board effective 31 March 2010.

This change to the Board was previously indicated in the announcement dated 22 December 2009 following significant strengthening of the Board through two new Non Executive Director appointments.

Mr. Gordon will continue to Chair the SDL Foundation, which looks to support charitable causes with an investment emphasis of sustainability, on a global basis. We are delighted we will continue to benefit from his expertise in this area.

The Board acknowledges the significant contribution made by Mr. Gordon and wishes him every success.
