Scrip Dividend Election Results

Goldenport Holdings Inc. ("Goldenport" or "the Company"), (LSE: GPRT) the international shipping company that owns and operates a fleet of container and dry-bulk vessels, announces that as at 3.00 p.m. (London time) on 21 April 2010, being the latest time and date for shareholders of the Company to elect the scrip dividend alternative to the final cash dividend for the financial year ending 2009, shareholders representing 51,801,120 (or 73.14%) out of 70,820,611 shares (being the total number of shares of common stock of USD 0.01 each in issue on the dividend record date of 12 March 2010) elected to receive the scrip dividend alternative instead of the final cash dividend of 3 pence per share for the financial year ending 2009.

Following the election and subject to the dividend being approved at the AGM to be held on 12 May 2010, Goldenport will apply on or before 14 May 2010 to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock Exchange for 1,537,091 new shares of common stock of USD 0.01 each to be admitted to trading, such shares to rank equally with the existing issued shares in the capital of the Company of 70,936,807 shares. Immediately following admission, the total number of shares in issue will be 72,473,898.

Each of the directors and members of the management team have elected the scrip dividend alternative in respect of 100% of their respective holdings.
