CRH PLC25 April 2006 CRH plc ("the Company") 25th April 2006 2005 FINAL DIVIDEND - SCRIP ALTERNATIVE CRH plc announces that, under the Company's Scrip Dividend Scheme, 36.33% of itsOrdinary Shareholders elected to receive shares in lieu of cash in respect ofall or part of their Final Dividend for 2005 to be paid on 8th May 2006. As a result, a total of 497,960 Ordinary Shares of €0.32 each have beenallotted. An application will be made for admission of the New Shares to theOfficial Lists of the Irish Stock Exchange and the U.K. Listing Authority and totrading on the London Stock Exchange's market for listed securities. Dealing inthe New Shares is expected to commence on Monday, 8th May 2006.
