Prudential PLC29 March 2006 Date: 29 March 2006 PRUDENTIAL PLC SCRIP DIVIDEND Prudential plc announces that the reference price for the fully paid extrashares to be issued to shareholders who elect to receive the scrip dividendalternative for the 2005 final dividend is 690.60 pence per share. The reference price is calculated as the average of the middle market quotationsfor the Company's shares as derived from the Daily Official List of the LondonStock Exchange for the five business days, which commenced on 22 March 2006. Further details of the scrip dividend alternative will be mailed to shareholdersin mid April 2006.
