Prudential PLC18 April 2007 Date: 18 April 2007 PRUDENTIAL PLC SCRIP DIVIDEND Prudential plc announces that the reference price for the fully paid extrashares to be issued to shareholders who elect to receive the scrip dividendalternative for the 2006 final dividend is 742.80 pence per share. The reference price is calculated as the average of the middle market quotationsfor the Company's shares as derived from the Daily Official List of the LondonStock Exchange for the five business days, which commenced on 11 April 2007. Further details of the scrip dividend alternative was mailed to shareholders on30 March 2007.
