UTV PLC12 October 2007 UTV plc Announcement of Court Approval of the Scheme of Arrangement The Board of UTV plc ("UTV") announces that the High Court of Justice inNorthern Ireland today sanctioned the scheme of arrangement of UTV as set out inthe circular to shareholders dated 24 August 2007 (which also incorporated aprospectus of UTV Media plc) (the "Scheme"). The Scheme and its implementationwere approved by shareholders of UTV on 19 September 2007. It is intended that an office copy of the court order sanctioning the Scheme andthe minute confirming the reduction of capital in relation to the Scheme will bedelivered to the Registrar of Companies in Northern Ireland for registration,and that the Scheme will become effective, on Monday 15 October 2007. The lastday for dealings in ordinary shares of UTV will be today (12 October 2007) anddealings in ordinary shares of UTV's new parent company, UTV Media plc, willcommence at 8.00 a.m. on Monday 15 October 2007.
