Sarantel and Sanmina-SCI Announce Asian Outsourcing Relationship

Sarantel (LSE:SLG), a leading manufacturer and supplier offiltering antennas for wireless devices is today pleased to announcethat it has signed a memorandum of understanding on outsourcemanufacturing and distribution with Sanmina-SCI. £ Sanmina-SCI (NASDAQ:SANM), is a leading global electronicsmanufacturing services (EMS) company based in San Jose, Californiawhich serves the fastest growing segments of the global ElectronicManufacturing Services (EMS) market. £ According to the MoU Sanmina-SCI will provide Sarantel withprocurement, manufacturing and logistics services from its Singaporefacility. Additionally, Sanmina-SCI will acquire some of Sarantel'smanufacturing assets as the deal progresses but they will not acquireany of Sarantel's buildings or employees. £ This agreement ensures that Sarantel will be well positioned tomeet market demand as it grows. It also enables Sarantel to continueits drive to reduce costs, increase competitiveness and to manufactureand distribute closer to its many Asian based customers. £ David Wither, CEO of Sarantel commented, "We are very excited bythis partnership with Sanmina-SCI and are confident that they willprovide Sarantel with the credibility we need to further ourrelationships with major OEM customers.
