Gooch & Housego PLC, the specialist manufacturer of optical components and systems, today announces a significant re-focussing of their Sales, Business Development and Marketing activities with the appointment of Jon Fowler as Executive VP of Commercial Development.

By leveraging the Company's excellence in materials and components Gooch & Housego is progressively making the transition from components supplier to solutions provider. This newly created senior role, which reports directly to CEO Gareth Jones, is intended to focus Group Sales & Marketing activities toward further growth and to support the Company's move towards additional value added business.

Jon most recently served G&H as head of the Acousto-Optics and Electro-Optics business unit. He brings three decades of applicable market experience and a working knowledge of many of G&H's most significant applications and customers.
