Sale of Investment Asset

Alexander Mining plc announces that it has completed the sale of all of its 1,165,000 shares in Mariana Resources Limited for a net consideration of £470,000. The cost of the shares in 2005 was £100,000.

The shares were held on Alexander's balance sheet as an investment available for sale at a book value of £330,000 as at 30 June 2010. The proceeds from the sale will be used for general working capital.
