Rule 2.9 Announcement - Relevant Securities in Issue

In accordance with Rule 2.9 of the Takeover Code, Aberdeen confirms that, as at the date of this announcement, it has 1,317,914,440 ordinary shares of 10 pence each in issue and admitted to trading on the London Stock Exchange's Main Market for listed securities. Aberdeen currently holds no ordinary shares in treasury. The International Securities Identification Number for Aberdeen's ordinary shares is GB0000031285.
