Disclosure of total BG Group plc shares in issue pursuant to Rule 2.10

In accordance with Rule 2.10 of the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers (the "Code"), BG Group plc confirms that it has in issue outside treasury 3,418,502,425 ordinary shares of 10 pence each that are admitted to trading on the main market of the London Stock Exchange.
