8 January 2013 ROLLS-ROYCE EXPANDS GLOBAL NUCLEAR SERVICES FOOTPRINT WITH ACQUISITION OF PKMJ TECHNICAL SERVICES

Rolls-Royce, the global power systems company, has today announced theacquisition of PKMJ Technical Services, a nuclear engineering services businessin the United States.

Rolls-Royce has significant expertise in developing innovative techniques andsolutions to manage, enhance and extend the lifetime of nuclear power plants.The acquisition of PKMJ Technical Services will accelerate growth forRolls-Royce in the important nuclear services market.

Rolls-Royce supports a number of key phases of the nuclear programme, includingproviding advice to governments and operators, supply chain management, andmanufacturing and technical engineering support. The Group's nuclear servicesactivity represents more than half of its civil nuclear business and includessupport to operational reactors in 20 countries across Europe, North Americaand Asia.
