Beating the Blues goes 'live' in the Netherlands

Ultrasis, the leading provider of computer delivered healthcare, is pleased to announce that the translation and creation of a Dutch version of Beating the Blues is now complete and ready for use by practitioners in the Netherlands. This was created in partnership with Innohealth B.V., the Dutch company established to address the growing need for cost effective and evidence based solutions in the Netherlands.

The technical teams from both companies have worked together to create the Dutch version and to ensure that it meets the stringent quality assurances required to be used as a treatment for mild and moderate depression within the Dutch insurance system. The project has involved a complete re-filming of the scenarios, full translation and the design of a multi-language framework for delivery of the program.

During the development phase our Dutch partners have secured the necessary approvals from the Dutch Healthcare Insurance Board (CVZ), for Beating the Blues to be a reimbursable treatment and have been actively promoting the program and its benefits to health providers and insurers.

Nigel Brabbins, CEO at Ultrasis, said: "This was our first language translation of Beating the Blues. Working with Innohealth B.V. we have created a high quality product that maintains the standards we expect at Ultrasis and we should give credit to the technical teams involved. We are now well positioned to look at other translations to make Beating the Blues more internationally and culturally acceptable".

Arjan Van de Weijde, CEO at Innohealth B.V., said: "We are delighted to have completed the translation and are looking forward now to launching this to the Dutch healthcare market. We now have an excellent product that we are confident will be quickly adopted in our home markets. Beating the Blues provides a very cost effective treatment for anxiety and depression, which are highly prevalent in Holland and Belgium"

Innohealth B.V. have created a web site at www.beatingtheblues.nl where professionals and patients can find out more about the program.
