Return of Cash: Repurchase of Deferred Shares

Betfair Group plc (the "Company") has purchased 105,687,224 Deferred Shares, being all of the Deferred Shares in issue, from Jefferies International Limited ("Jefferies") in accordance with the terms of the Option Agreement as described in the Circular. Following completion of the purchase, all the Deferred Shares will be cancelled by the Company.

Unless otherwise defined, capitalised terms used in this announcement have the same meaning as those defined in the circular to Shareholders dated 12 December 2014 (the "Circular"), which can be viewed on the Company's website at corporate.betfair.com.
