RPC Group Plc, the leading international rigid plastic supplier to packaging and non-packaging markets, announces that Ilona Haaijer has retired from the Board with immediate effect.

Ilona Haaijer joined the Board as an independent Non-executive Director in May 2012 and has served as a member of the Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees. Following her recent promotion and increase in responsibilities with her employer, Royal DSM N.V., Ilona has reluctantly decided that it is no longer possible to provide the necessary time commitment to fulfil her duties as a Non-executive Director of the Company. Consequently Ilona has decided not to seek reappointment as a Non-executive Director.

The Nomination Committee, chaired by Jamie Pike, will begin the process of recruiting a new independent Non-executive Director shortly, taking into account current best practice and, in particular, board diversity, including gender. A further announcement will be made in due course.
