Pursuant to the board's authorization of the final stage of its share repurchase program on July 28, 2016, Samsung Electronics recently completed the repurchase of its shares. Detailed results of the final stage of the repurchase program are set forth below:

1. Repurchase Period: July 29, 2016 to September 26, 2016

2. Repurchased Common Shares:

- Number of Shares: 0.99 million

- Average Price Per Share: KRW 1,597,429

- Total Amount: KRW 1,581 billion

3. Repurchased Preferred Shares:

- Number of Shares: 0.23 million

- Average Price Per Share: KRW 1,322,894

- Total Amount: KRW 304 billion
