Results of Scheme Meeting
AEL shareholders vote in favour of scheme of arrangement for merger with Roc Oil Company Limited
Anzon Energy Limited ("AEL" or "the Company") announces that AEL Shareholders today voted overwhelmingly in favour of the scheme of arrangement ("Scheme"), which subject to the further approval of the Federal Court of Australia, will result in the merger between AEL and Roc Oil Company Limited (ASX & AIM: ROC) previously announced on 16 June 2008.
Results of Scheme Meeting
The resolution to approve the Scheme was passed at today's Scheme Meeting by the following majorities:
99.92% of votes cast in favour of the resolution; and
98.7% of the number of shareholders voting (either in person or by proxy) in favour of the resolution.
These results exceed the majorities required for the purposes of the Corporations Act.
The votes cast on the resolution put to a poll at the Scheme Meeting were as follows:

Second Court Hearing
A hearing before the Federal Court of Australia to approve the Scheme is scheduled to be held at 10.15am on Friday, 5 September 2008. The Company will make a further announcement following consideration of the Scheme by the Court.
An indicative timetable for the remaining steps to implement the Scheme is set out below.
