Results of first lottery draw

Chariot (UK) PLC09 May 2006 CHARIOT (UK) plc Results from the first draw of Britain's new lottery game Chariot, the company behind the new charities lottery, monday(www.playmonday.com), held the first draw of its new lottery game last night. Atthat time monday had over 180,000 players registered and £1.5m was deposited byplayers of which a third was played on the first draw. There were more than9,800 winners sharing over £250,000 in prize money. From this first draw a total of £150,000 has been raised by monday for the fivecharities participating in the draw, these being Shelter, Born Free, The BritishHeart Foundation, The Royal National Institute for the Deaf and CLIC Sargent. monday, and the website in particular (www.playmonday.com), received a very highlevel of interest from players, the media and the charity sector, particularlyon Monday 8th May. www.playmonday.com consequently experienced significantlevels of player activity yesterday which led to a slowing up of the site and acorresponding reduction in sales during the day. This slowing up of the site wasfixed at 8.30pm on Monday evening. Although the ticket sales were at the lower end of the Chariot Board'sexpectations for the first draw they are pleased with the level of registrationsin the two weeks since launch. Chariot is pleased with the positive media response that monday - the CharitiesLottery has received and the level of interest shown by the public for this newlottery since it was launched just two weeks ago on the 24th April 2006. Theyare confident that monday will continue to build on this positive start over thefollowing months. Subsequent draws of the lottery will be held every Monday on behalf of Chariot's70 charity partners. The public can buy tickets all week and at anytime onlineat www.playmonday.com or by post. Players can also register to play viatelephone by calling 0870 774 4443. Chariot is currently developing other waysby which tickets can be purchased by the public.
