RESULT OF GENERAL MEETING

The Company announces that each of the Resolutions proposed at the General Meeting held today at 2.00 p.m. to approve the proposed Placing and Open Offer of, in aggregate, 110,000,000 New Ordinary Shares announced on 3 June 2011 and other related matters was duly passed without amendment.

Further details of the Resolutions are set out in the prospectus published by IP Group and sent to Shareholders on 4 June 2011 (the "Prospectus").

Accordingly the Company confirms that it has completed the Placing and Open Offer, subject only to Admission, which is expected to occur at 8.00 a.m. on 23 June 2011.

This announcement should be read in conjunction with the full text of the Prospectus, copies of which are available on the Company's website at www.ipgroupplc.com.

In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.2, a copy of the Resolutions has been submitted to the National Storage Mechanism and will shortly be available for inspection at www.hemscott.com/nsm.do.
