Result of General Meeting
Change of name to Archial Group Plc
SMC Group Plc (the "Company"), the architecture and design business, is pleased to announce that at the General Meeting of the Company held earlier today, the proposed resolution to change the Company's name to Archial Group Plc was duly passed.
The change of name is expected to become effective later today following the registration of the change with Companies House.
The Company's Stock Exchange Ticker is expected to change from 'SMC' to 'ARL' with effect from 08.00 on Wednesday, 7 January 2008.
In addition, the Company's website has changed to www.archialgroup.com with immediate effect.
