Advanced Power Components PLC05 October 2006 Advanced Power Components plc ("the Company") Results of Extraordinary General Meeting Regarding the Proposed Cancellation ofShare Premium Account The Company announces that at an extraordinary general meeting convenedyesterday, the special resolution required to cancel the share premium accountwas approved by shareholders. The subsequent required approval of the High Court of Justice in England andWales is expected to be given at a hearing scheduled for 25 October 2006. Thecancellation will not be effective until the court order confirming thereduction has been registered by the Registrar of Companies which is expectedwill take place by the end of October 2006.
