The following replaces the Result of Annual General Meeting Announcement released yesterday at 18:00 under RNS Number 5262W. The title of Resolution No. 4 has been changed to read 'Fix Remuneration of Directors'. All other details remain unchanged. The full amended announcement appears below.

RESULT OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Dublin/London - 11 June, 2008: Independent News & Media PLC ['INM' or 'the Company'] announces the Poll results on the resolutions at its Annual General Meeting held on 11th June, 2008 at the Park Lane Hotel, Picadilly, London W1J 7BX, United Kingdom.
A Poll was held on each resolution. All resolutions were ordinary resolutions and all resolutions were carried.
