Result of AGM & Directorate change
DQ Entertainment plc, a leading animation, game art and entertainment content production and distribution group, is pleased to announce that at the Annual General Meeting of the Company held today, all the resolutions were unanimously passed.
Resolution 7 was not put to the meeting and the Company announces that Mr Michael Herlihy, a Non Executive Director, has decided not to seek re-election at the AGM and has therefore retired from the Board with immediate effect in order to pursue other commitments.
Commenting on Michael's decision Tapaas Chakravarti, Chairman & CEO said:
"The entire Board joins me to thank Michael for his valuable contribution and guidance to the Company and to the Board in particular. We wish Michael all the best for his personal and professional future pursuits."
Michael Herlihy commented: "It has been a privilege to be associated with DQE during its launch as an AIM listed company and I wish Tapaas and the whole team every success in what I am sure will be a very exciting future."
The Company is pleased to confirm the appointment of Mr Anthony B M (Tony) Good to the Board, as an independent non-executive director, with immediate effect.
Tony, 75, brings with him over 40 years of varied industry experience. Tony has held eminent positions in large and multinational companies, both in the UK and India, and has a wealth of public market experience. Tony has served in a variety of companies representing different industry segments including Silver City Airways Ltd and British Caledonian Airways (Automation and Aviation), Temple Press Limited (Journalism and Public Relations), Grindlay's Commercial Holdings Ltd (Banking and Finance) and Cox & Kings Limited (Tours and Travel). He was the founder of Good Relations (later Good Relations Group Plc - the first public relations company to be listed on London Stock Exchange), whose portfolio of clients included Laker and British Airways. Having successfully established Good Relations in the UK, Tony went on to establish Good Relations (India) Private Limited, which currently has offices in seven metropolitan cities in India.
Tony currently serves as the Chairman of Cox & Kings, UK & India, Good Relations India and Good Consultancy Ltd. He has also acted as a strategic advisor to the Board members of Marks & Spencer and Scottish & Newcastle, among others.
Commenting on the appointment, Tapaas Chakravarti, Chairman & CEO said:

There are no further disclosures to be made regarding this appointment under Schedule 2 paragraph (g) of the AIM rules save that Tony has been a Director of the following companies in the last 5 years and was a non-executive director of Jensen Motors Ltd at the time of its receivership in 1976.
