Daniel Stewart Securities PLC24 August 2005 24 AUGUST 2005 DANIEL STEWART SECURITIES PLC (AIM) RESULT OF AGM AND TRADING UPDATE AGM RESULT Daniel Stewart Securities Plc ("Daniel Stewart" or "the Group") announces that at the Annual General Meeting held at 5pm on Tuesday 23 August 2005 all the resolutions proposed were duly passed. TRADING UPDATE Since the year end during a traditionally quieter period business has continuedto grow strongly. Our retained client base has risen to 40 and we have seen asteady improvement in size and quality of transaction brought to us by clients.In the last five months we have completed 3 Initial Public Offerings and 6secondary placings as well as 2 corporate finance transactions. Of particularnote was the sale of XN Checkout to Torex Retail in which, in addition to actingfor XN, we had a significant holding both in fully paid shares and options. As a result of our recent business expansion and as announced in our annualreport we have successfully completed our move to purpose built office spacecomprising of 7,500 sq ft of open plan accommodation located in Becket House inOld Jewry EC2. We have also completed several new hires bringing our head countto 30. The Board intends to report the Group's interim results in November and looksforward to announcing numbers ahead of current market expectations.
