Result of Annual General Meeting
Update re Possible Offer
Update on Investment and Development Programme
The Board of CareCapital, the healthcare real estate developer and owner, announces that at the Annual General Meeting held on 29 July 2009, all of the resolutions were duly passed.
Furthermore, pursuant to the announcement by CareCapital on 6 April 2009, the Board announces that the Company's executive management team are no longer interested in taking the Company private. However the Company has received a number of approaches from interested parties with whom they are in discussions which may or may not lead to an offer being made for the Company. Therefore the Company remains in an Offer Period. A further announcement will be made in due course.
By way of an update on the Company's investment and development programme, CareCapital is pleased to announce that in December 2008 the Company's German operation completed the development of a medical office building in Marktedwitz in Northern Bavaria, located adjacent and connected to the regional hospital. The building has a net lettable area ("NLA") of 3,326 square metres ("sqm") and is now fully let with twelve tenants of whom the anchor tenant is a dialysis clinic with a NLA of 1,459 sqm.
In addition the Company announces that it expects to complete another medical office building, Adlershof 2 in Berlin in Q1 2010 with current progress according to plan. The building is located adjacent and connected to CareCapital's existing medical office building, Adlershof 1 and is fully let with 15 tenants. Adlershof 2 has a NLA of 3,820 sqm, complete with underground parking and the anchor tenant is a physio rehabilitation clinic with an NLA of 1,375 sqm.
