Further responses to certain allegations made by Worldview
Petroceltic International plc ("Petroceltic" or the "Company"), responds to the untrue allegations made by Worldview Capital Management ("Worldview") today that it is seeking to prevent Worldview from attending the forthcoming EGM.
Petroceltic is not trying to prevent Worldview attending the EGM. The Company has informed Worldview's advisers the procedures which Worldview or any other shareholder must follow to comply with Irish Company law.
Worldview holds its shares through a number of entities and each is entitled to appoint a proxy to attend at the EGM. The process for appointing a proxy is clearly set out in the Notice of EGM and the Form of Proxy. It makes clear that each shareholder may appoint one proxy only. The Company's procedures are fully in accordance with Irish law and are designed to ensure that all Petroceltic shareholders are treated equally and fairly.
