Update Regarding Friends Provident plc
Resolution notes that in recent press articles comments attributed to the company have been reported to indicate that Resolution is not contemplating a possible offer for Friends Provident plc.
Resolution would like to clarify the situation. Whilst Resolution is not currently considering any particular transaction with a specific counterparty, it does not wish, for the purposes of the Takeover Code, to reduce future flexibility to take advantage of opportunities that may arise. Accordingly no particular course of action has been determined nor anything ruled out.
