Afren plc ("Afren" or the "Company") announces that Mr Ennio Sganzerla has resigned as Non-Executive Director of Afren effective today in order to pursue other business interests

Having joined the board on 26 June 2009, Ennio has served as a Director of Afren Plc for over five years and has been an integral member of the Audit and Risk, Nomination and Remuneration Committees.The Company will be announcing new appointments to the Board Committees in due course.
