ROC OIL COMPANY LIMITED ("ROC")

STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE

RESIGNATION OF GENERAL COUNSEL and JOINT COMPANY SECRETARY

ROC advises that Ms Sheree Ford has resigned from her position as General Counsel and Joint Company Secretary, effective 31 October 2009, to pursue other opportunities.

Following Ms Ford's resignation, Ms Leanne Nolan will continue as Company Secretary of ROC.

Commenting on Ms Ford's resignation, ROC's Chairman, Mr Andrew Love, stated:

"Sheree has been General Counsel and Company Secretary since November 2003. After almost six years with ROC, Sheree has decided to leave to pursue further career opportunities. She has made a significant contribution to ROC over this period, having seen ROC evolve from a small, international exploration company with gas production in the UK to a larger, more balanced oil and gas exploration and production company with sales revenue that exceeded US$350 million in 2008.

I pass on my thanks to Sheree for her contribution to ROC over the past six years and I wish her well in her future career."
