Resignation of Director

Dragon Oil, an international oil and gas exploration and production company, today announces that Mr. Jeremy J. Key, Non-Executive Director of Dragon Oil, has notified the Company that he will not be standing for re-election at the Company's upcoming Annual General Meeting and will resign as director with effect from 21 May 2008. Mr. Key has served as a non-executive director of the Company for over 9 years and has decided to leave at this time to focus on his other business interests.

The Board of Dragon Oil would like to take this opportunity to record its gratitude to Mr. Key for his work and dedication to the Company and to wish him well for the future.
