ZHEJIANG EXPRESSWAY CO., LTD (A joint stock limited company incorporated in the People's Republic of China with limited liability) (Stock code: 0576) ANNOUNCEMENT RESIGNATION OF INDEPENDENT SUPERVISOR AND APPOINTMENT OF DEPUTY GENERAL MANAGER Resignation of Independent SupervisorThe board of directors (the "Board") of Zhejiang Expressway Co., Ltd.(the "Company") hereby announces that the Company has received a letter ofresignation on 28 March 2014 from Mr. Liu Haisheng, an independent supervisorof the Company, pursuant to which Mr. Liu applied to resign as an independentsupervisor of the Company and which resignation became effective on 8 April2014. Mr. Liu has confirmed that he has no disagreement with the Board or thesupervisory committee of the Company and that there are no other mattersrelating to his resignation that would need to be brought to the attentionof the shareholders of the Company. Further announcement will be made should there be any appointment of anyalternate supervisor by the Company following the resignation of Mr. Liufrom the position of the independent supervisor of the Company. The Board would like to express its appreciation to Mr. Liu for his valuablecontributions to the Company during his term of office. Appointment of Deputy General ManagerThe Board also announces that Mr. Tony Zheng has been appointed as DeputyGeneral Manager of the Company with effect from 9 April 2014 for an initialterm of one year. Mr. Zheng will remain as Company Secretary after hisappointment as Deputy General Manager. Mr. Tony Zheng, who was born in 1969, obtained a Bachelor of Science degreefrom the Civil Engineering Department of the University of California,Berkeley in 1995. Mr. Zheng joined the Company in June 1997 and has heldthe positions of Deputy Director of Secretarial Office to the Board andAssistant to Company Secretary before he was appointed Company Secretaryin March 2011. Mr. Zheng also holds the positions of Director of SecretarialOffice to the Board and Director of the Hong Kong Representative Officeof the Company.
