Repurchase of Ordinary Shares

REPURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES

Betfair Group plc (the "Company") announces that in accordance with the authority granted by shareholders at the Company's Annual General Meeting on 22nd September 2011 it purchased 28,080 of its Ordinary shares of 0.1 pence each ("shares") on 8th February 2012 for cancellation.

The average price paid per share was 878.83 pence per share.

The highest price paid per share was 881.50 pence per share.

The lowest price paid per share was 865.00 pence per share.

To date 4,614,572 shares have been repurchased under this authority.

Following the above transaction the Company has 103,927,654 shares in issue. This number represents the total voting rights in the Company and may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they can determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Financial Services Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
