(Verizon) announced thecompletion of the spin-off of the shares of Northern New England Spinco Inc.(Spinco), a subsidiary of Verizon, to Verizon stockholders. Immediatelyfollowing the spin-off, Spinco merged with FairPoint Communications, Inc. (NYSE:FRP), resulting in Verizon shareholders collectively owning approximately 60percent of FairPoint common stock.
