Replacement for RNS number : 5277W
In an announcement regarding CRH plc's Share Repurchase Programme, released on 12th June 2008 at 7.00 a.m. (RNS number 5277W), the stated number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) should have been 536,322,033 and not 538,322,033. The amended announcement is set out below:

SHARE REPURCHASE PROGRAMME
CRH plc announces that on 11th June 2008, Davy purchased, on behalf of the Company, 50,000 Ordinary Shares of €0.32 each in CRH plc at prices between €20.42 and €21.21 per Ordinary Share. The purchased shares will be held as Treasury Shares.
CRH plc also announces that on 11th June 2008 it transferred to participants in its employee share schemes 11,989 Ordinary Shares at prices between €13.26 and €19.68 per Ordinary Share.
Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 11,798,373 Ordinary Shares in Treasury. The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 536,322,033.
