XPS selected by Metropolitan Police Service to provide administrative services to the Police Pension Scheme
XPS Pensions Group plc ("XPS" or the "Group"), the leading independent consulting and administration business serving in the insurance and pensions market, has been appointed to provide administration services for the Metropolitan Police Service's Police Pension Scheme ("Scheme"). The appointment, subject to contract and for a term exceeding seven years, was awarded to XPS following a competitive tendering process as part of a wider consortium led by DXC Technology. The Scheme has more than 80,000 members and will become XPS's largest public sector administration client.
The appointment follows XPS's well documented success in delivering the McCloud Remedy for over 38,000 members across 33 Police Forces in the UK.
XPS provides market leading pensions administration services to over 1.2 million members with over 47 years' experience of providing services to pension schemes. It has a long-term commitment to the administration market, evidenced by the significant financial investments the business has made in technology to create an industry leading administration platform, Aurora.
David Watkins, Managing Director of XPS Administration, said:
"I'm delighted that XPS has been confirmed as the preferred provider to administer officer pensions for the Metropolitan Police Service, subject to contract. This award further strengthens our position as the leading administrator of police pensions across England and Wales. Our long-standing expertise and deep subject-matter knowledge, most recently demonstrated through the successful delivery of the McCloud remedy for our existing Police clients, were key factors recognised during the tender process. We look forward to working closely with DXC, our consortium partners and the Metropolitan Police, to welcome transferring colleagues as we ensure a smooth and supportive transition. Together, we are committed to delivering a high-quality, resilient, and member-focused service for the Metropolitan Police."
