The following amendment has been made to the Grant of Share Options
announcement released on 15 May 2008 at 14:45 under RNS No 5662U
In the first paragraph the number of options that had been granted by the Company is 1,350,000 not 1,000,000 as previously stated.
All other details remain unchanged.

Grant of Share Options
Island Oil & Gas plc ("Island" or the "Company") (LSE: IOG) announces that 1,350,000 Share Options (the "Options") have been granted by the Company at an exercise price of £0.30 pence per share. The Options may be exercised in whole or in part at any time up to 13 May 2015.
The number of Options granted are as follows:
