The following announcement made by Cable & Wireless Communications Plc released on 17 January 2014 under RNS No 9543X has been amended

NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS, PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY ("PDMRs") OR CONNECTED PERSONS

This disclosure relates to a transaction notified to Cable & Wireless Communications Plc ("the Company") in accordance with DTR 3.1.2R on 17 January 2014 and is given in accordance with DTR 3.1.4R(1)(a). The Company disclosed on this date that Sandra Ball (a connected person of director Simon Ball) received 6,101 shares from the Company's January 2014 dividend payment. The Company has now received a further notification regarding an error in the information originally supplied to the Company which overstated the number of shares acquired by 72 shares. The number of shares actually received was 6,029 shares. The correct notice should have read as follows:

Pursuant to the Company's dividend paid on 10 January 2014, the under mentioned Director and/or their connected person reinvested their dividends in accordance with the rules of the Dividend Reinvestment Plan.

The price paid per share was 56.83 pence.
