Repayment of Unsecured Bonds

Ophir Energy plc ("Ophir") advises that certain bondholders have exercised their put option totalling approximately $45 million of the $150 million Unsecured Bonds that were previously issued by its subsidiary Salamander Energy plc ("Salamander"). The put option, at an option price of 101%, was triggered by the acquisition of Salamander by Ophir; the put option expired on 1 May 2015.

Ophir will be completing a review of its debt structure during the second half of 2015 with a view to optimising its balance sheet.
