Renewal of affinity contract
Lighthouse Group plc (AIM: LGT), the national financial adviser of choice for Middle Britain, is pleased to announce that it has won a competitive tender exercise to agree the renewal of its contract with Prospect, as the preferred provider of expert financial advice to its members, encompassing retirement planning, mortgages and investments, for a further three years from 1st June 2018.
Prospect's 142,000 members are engineers, scientists, managers and specialists in areas as diverse as agriculture, broadcasting, defence, education and children's services, energy, environment, heritage, shipbuilding, telecoms and transport. The diversity of Prospect's membership continues to grow and now also includes BECTU as a sector. BECTU is the UK's media and entertainment trade union, representing staff, contract and freelance workers who are based primarily in the United Kingdom and encompasses circa 40,000 individuals.
This contract renewal underlines Lighthouse's already impressive list of affinity partnerships, which includes major employee organisations such as UNISON, BA Clubs, Fostertalk and the Royal College of Nursing (RCN), further highlighting Lighthouse's capacity to deliver financial planning solutions to a diverse and substantial audience.
Mike Clancy, General Secretary of Prospect commented: "We are very pleased to have secured this contract renewal with Lighthouse, which will enable us to continue to ensure that our members are able to access financial planning assistance from a reliable and well reputed organisation, able to cater for a broad range of financial planning requirements. Given the truly national basis of our membership, it is important to us to continue to partner with an organisation which is clearly capable of supporting our members no matter where they may reside and no matter what their background. We look forward to continuing to develop our relationship with Lighthouse and ensuring that our members are able to secure quality service and consistent financial advice".
Malcolm Streatfield, Chief Executive Officer of Lighthouse commented: "The Board is very pleased that we have secured this contract renewal with Prospect, which serves to endorse further the quality of service and financial planning support which Lighthouse Financial Advice provides for all participating members in our affinity relationships. We very much look forward to further progressing our relationship with Prospect over the years ahead. The Board remains committed to developing further our affinity partnerships throughout the UK".
