Marks and Spencer Group PLC announces the APPOINTMENT

of chairman Designate to its Remuneration committee

 

 

 

 

Marks and Spencer Group plc today announces that Vindi Banga, will take on the role of Chairman of the Remuneration Committee when, as previously announced, Steven Holliday steps down from the Board following the AGM in 2014. Vindi has been a member of the Remuneration Committee since he joined the Board in September 2011.

Vindi Banga was employed in a number of senior roles during his 33 years with Unilever, including as President of the Foods, Home and Personal Care Businesses and as Chairman and Managing Director of Hindustan Lever Limited. He is now a Partner at Clayton Dubilier & Rice, a Non-executive Director of Thomson Reuters and a member of the Prime Minister of India's Council of Trade and Industry.
