Aberdeen Asset Management PLC15 January 2007 ABERDEEN ASSET MANAGEMENT PLC Aberdeen Asset Management PLC ("the Company) announces that the remaining 5.875%Convertible Bonds 2007 ("the Bonds") in issue are now due for redemption inaccordance with their terms and conditions of issue as set out in the Company'sprospectus dated 12 December 2001. Accordingly £25,731,411 (being the aggregateprincipal amount together with all unpaid accrued interest due thereon) will berepaid to the holders of the Bonds on Monday 15 January 2007 and the Bondscancelled forthwith. The Company has requested that the Bonds which were in issue and trading on themain market of the London Stock Exchange plc be cancelled from the OfficialList of the UK Listing Authority with effect from 8.00am onMonday 15 January 2007. Having successfully placed US$125 million of subordinated notes in July 2006 andhaving received formal confirmation from the Financial Services Authority of thegrant of a waiver from consolidated supervision, the redemption of the Bondsbrings additional clarity to the Group's balance sheet.
