REDEMPTION OF B SHARES

Dialight plc (the "Company") announces that 201,216 of the redeemable non-cumulative preference shares of 75 pence each in the capital of the Company ("B Shares") were redeemed today. Accordingly, all of the B Shares (56,800,170 in total) issued in 2003, have now been redeemed in accordance with the terms and conditions attaching to the B Shares.

Payment for the B Shares redeemed on 28 November 2008 will be settled through the CREST system or, for certificated holders, cheques will be despatched, no later than 9 December 2008.
