Lancashire Holdings Limited08 May 2006 Lancashire Holdings Limited Announces Recruitment of Operations Director HAMILTON, Bermuda (8th May 2006) - Lancashire Holdings Limited (the "Company")today announces that Colin Alexander will be joining Lancashire in Bermuda asOperations Director. Colin will report to Neil McConachie, the Lancashire GroupChief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Colin joins on 1st June2006. Colin is joining the Lancashire Group from International Advisory ServicesLimited in Bermuda, where he is Senior Vice President. Neil McConachie said "We will be very pleased to welcome Colin as a full-timeemployee. Colin is no stranger to the Lancashire Group, having served as anon-executive Director of the Company since the Group's formation in 2005.Colin has provided services to insurance businesses in Bermuda over many yearsand is bringing a wealth of insurance management experience with him to theGroup". Colin joined the IAS Park Group in 1989, prior to which he spent three yearswith International Risk Management Limited where he managed a number of captivesubsidiaries of US Fortune 500 companies. Before moving to Bermuda in 1986,Colin spent five years with chartered accountants, Touche Ross & Company inManchester, England where he qualified as a chartered accountant in 1981. Colinalso holds a B.A. Honours degree in Accounting and Financial Management from theUniversity of Sheffield. Colin will step down as a Director of the Company concurrent with his employmentat the beginning of June. A review of Board composition will be undertakenfollowing Colin's departure from the Board.
