Record Label Contract

12th Mar 2007 07:00

Embargoed: 0700hrs, 12 March 2007

X-Phonics Plc (X-Phonics or the "Company") High Profile Record Label Signing

X-Phonics, the AIM-listed independent record label, music publishing and media Production company, is pleased to announce that it's wholly owned record label, X-Phonics Music Limited, has signed Liz McClarnon's new single, "(Don't It Make You) HAPPY!" - which is entered into the competition to become Britain's official entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2007.

Liz McClarnon achieved fame as a member of leading pop group, Atomic Kitten, who sold more than seven million albums and singles around the world, had two UK number-one albums, thirteen top-ten singles and three number-one's also in the UK.

Performing "HAPPY!", Liz McClarnon will compete against five hopefuls, live on the BBC on 17 March, following which X-Phonics Music Limited will release the single to the UK. If Liz McClarnon is successful in her bid to become Britain's Eurovision entry in Helsinki on 12 May, the worldwide sales potential of the single could have a significant impact for the Company.

John McLaughlin, Chief Executive of X-Phonics, commented,

"Atomic Kitten gained number-one singles in twenty countries. As one-third of that act Liz McClarnon is a pop star who has the potential to make substantial record sales not just in the UK. We wish her the best of luck in her bid to become Britain's Eurovision entry and are confident that "HAPPY!" will be a great success for our record label."
