Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (KS005930, KS005935, SMSN, SMSD) ("SEC"), on September 1,

2022, announced the record date for SEC's Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders. Only the

shareholders of record, as listed on the shareholders' registry as of the close of business on the record

date, will be entitled to the notice of and the right to vote at the Extraordinary General Meeting of

Shareholders.
