Record Date for Proposed Dividends
Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (KS005930, KS005935, SMSN, SMSD) ("SEC") announced that its Management Committee at their meeting on March 8, 2019 set March 31, 2019 as the record date
for the proposed dividends. The corresponding book closure period, during which the shareholders'
registry of SEC will be closed and no transfer of shares in SEC will be effective, is April 1-April 7, 2019.
The dividend proposal will be up for vote at the next meeting of the Board of Directors
(the "Board") at the end of April, 2019. Dividend payments, if declared by the Board, will only be made to shareholders of record at the close of business on March 31, 2019.
