Dublin, 4 June 2018: Independent News and Media PLC ("INM" or the "Company") announces the following changes to its Board Committees, effective from 31 May 2018:

· Fionnuala Duggan has been appointed to the Remuneration Committee and has taken over the position of Chair of that Committee from Len O'Hagan; and

· Len O'Hagan has been appointed Chair of the Nomination and Corporate Governance Committee following the resignation of Terry Buckley. Len was also previously Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee. This role was taken over by Seamus Taaffe with effect from 19 April 2018.

Following these changes, the Company continues to meet the Board and Committee composition recommendations of the UK Corporate Governance Code.
