("EMED Mining" or the "Company")
Receipt of the Dictamen Ambiental
for the Rio Tinto Copper Project
EMED Mining, the Europe-based minerals development and exploration company, is pleased to report progress at its Rio Tinto Copper Project in Spain ("the Project").
The Ministry of Environment of the Government of Andalusia issued the Dictamen Ambiental on 19 February. The release of the Dictamen is a significant milestone in the completion of the approval process for the Unified Environmental Plan ('Autorizacion Ambiental Unificada' or the 'AAU'). The Dictamen Ambiental contains the draft conditions which are to be included in the final AAU.
The Company Permitting Team and Consulting Experts will analyse the Dictamen conditions to identify those, if any, which may need to be discussed with the Environmental Department during the ten day interested party viewing period.
Rod Halliday, Interim Managing Director and CEO of EMED Mining, commented:
The issue of the Dictamen Ambiental is a very significant step in the Project approval process. The Company continues to work closely with the Government of Andalucía in the lead-up to the approval of the AAU and the transfer of Mineral Rights (AS).
