Blacks Leisure Group plc

("Blacks Leisure" or "the Group")

Blacks Leisure notes the announcement issued this morning by Sports Direct International plc ("Sports Direct") in relation to the proposed acquisition of 12,153,071 ordinary shares in Blacks Leisure held by Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander Limited (in administration) by Sportsdirect.com Retail Limited ("SW1") and in particular the statement by Sports Direct that if such shares are acquired, SWI currently intends to vote against the resolutions proposed by Blacks Leisure at its general meeting convened for 24 February 2010.

Blacks Leisure is seeking further clarification of the intentions of Sports Direct and SW1 and a further announcement will be made in due course.
