Land Securities Group Plc03 May 2005 3 May 2005 Land Securities Group PLC ("Land Securities" / "Group") Land Securities completes mid town letting withDeloitte for new headquarters building in EC4 Land Securities Group PLC announces that it has exchanged contracts withDeloitte for the letting of Building B at the 'New Street Square' development onNew Fetter Lane, EC4. Deloitte will occupy Building B, comprising 209,360 sq ft (19,500 sq m) ofoffices over 10 floors, with an option over a further 42,300 sq ft (3,930 sq m)in Building C. The offices will be ready for fit out in the Summer of 2007 andis the first letting in this four building scheme. As part of the transaction, Land Securities will assume responsibility for theDeloitte leases at Arundel Great Court of approximately 250,000 sq ft. Theanticipated cost, associated with these voids, has been included in the totaltransaction costs. Mike Hussey, Land Securities' Managing Director, London Portfolio commented; "We are delighted to welcome Deloitte to New Street Square, a development whichwill provide a new contemporary environment for corporate professional occupiersin the heart of London." The Bennetts Associates designed development replaces an assortment of post waroffice blocks with four contemporary office buildings, all of which open onto anew landscaped central square lined by shops and cafes. The letting to Deloitteleaves approximately 424,000 sq ft of offices and circa 30,000 sq ft of retailavailable within the scheme, which may be built speculatively.
